Segment Highlights: Segment B starts at Somerset Park in North Long Beach. The route starts out heading southward on a long residential trek visiting 3 parks and a public cemetery with a stairway, reaching the Greenbelt, a former Red Car rail line heading southeast, now occupied by mostly parks and paths. After walking part of the Greenbelt (the rest is walked in Segment C), the route heads northwest to Signal Hill Park and City Hall, climbing a handful of small stairways, then climbs up to Signal Hill, visiting three parks, and spectacular vistas of the South Bay from Hilltop Park, before descending and climbing one more stairway on our way downhill to the area near the traffic circle and the lunch stop. After lunch the walk takes you on another residential trek, northwards visiting two parks and a pedestrian bridge over a concrete channel, as you make your way toward Long Beach City College which has stairways and a pedestrian bridge over Carson St. Next the route follows Carson St by way of the shared use path in Heartwell Park, for over 2 miles to the end of the walk, at the far eastern end of the park on Carson St, at Los Coyotes Diagonal.
Start Location: Somerset Park on Carson St, at Walnut Ave, which is bus accessible via LBT Bus Lines 101/103 along Carson St (which connects to the Metro Blue Line Train at the Willow Station).
Finish Location: Heartwell Park, at the far eastern end at Los Coyotes Diagonal, which is accessible from LBT Bus Lines 101/103 (which can take you back to the start, or continuing on to the Metro Blue Line Train at the Willow Station).

Finish to Start: See the light pink line path on the Google Map. You cross to the north side of Los Coyotes Diagonal, and take LBT Bus Lines 101/103 west along Carson St which will take you back to the start of the walk at Somerset Park (at Walnut Ave).
DTLA to Start: If you are coming from Los Angeles or anywhere with rail connections, you can take the Metro Blue Line Train southbound to the Willow Station, then walk 1 block south to the corner of Willow and LB Blvd (on the south side of Willow, just east of the intersection) and take LBT Bus Lines 101/103 north to the start at Somerset Park (Carson at Walnut).
Finish to DTLA: You cross to the north side of Los Coyotes Diagonal, and take LBT Bus Lines 101/103 west along Carson St, which sill take you to the Willow Station, then take the Metro Blue Line Train north to DTLA.
